Project branding of local products in the Moravian Karst and surroundings is one of the activities of civil associations LAG Moravian Karst, which was founded in 2006. The aim of the association is to create conditions to supporting sustainable development of the region. Moravian Karst is one of the most important karst areas in Central Europe. The area is part of the European network of protected areas NATURA 2000. Unique natural values ​​require sensitive and careful land use and management.

The first local products received brand  in 2007. LAG Moravian Karst publishes the various press materials to promote brand: catalogs of local producers, newspapers and maps. Producers participate in common meetings and fairs. Broad cooperation among all interested people in the region is very important. They are together looking for other ways and direction of marketing: new media (Internet, social networks, film, TV), adventure tourism, new trends in tourism and gastronomy.
